ABOUT ME

I'm a really down-to-earth guy that loves music, food, friends, and new experiences. I am from a small town and haven't had very much opportunity to travel in my life, so I am taking every opportunity I can get while attending college. I love life and meeting new people, young or old.

Life is beautiful and should be valued and lived to the fullest. Humility, honesty, hard work, an open mind, and an adventurous spirit will get you far in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past, my couch has always been open to touring bands or traveling friends. I've surfed for a few days and hosted once for a week. I'm excited to keep surfing and repay the favor to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am no stranger to crashing on the couches of friends, opening my couch to travelling bands, or travelling on a budget. Every experience I've had through this website so far as been really great.

I've found that I love the perspective that travelling this way gives me. It's great to learn about a new place from the eyes of a local, and equally rewarding to give someone else an intimate look at a place you love. Staying in a hotel and hitting up tourist spots just isn't really the kind of experience I'm looking for.

Interests

My main passion in life is music. In fact, I am usually travelling to attend some sort of music event. I try to stay as involved as I can in the local and national music scene. I play music, book shows, even run a small record label with my best friend to help release music I love.

I'm also very interested in sports and outdoor activities. I grew up in a soccer family and have played regularly all my life. I love to hike, fly fish, and boat. I love to ride bikes and have recently starting building my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love all kinds of music. If I had to pick a favorite band, it would probably be Modest Mouse. But I love classic rock, indie, hip-hop, jazz, punk, ambient, electronic, even pop music. You name it, I'll probably appreciate it.

As far as books go, my favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. I'm a big fan of modern classics, sci-fi and fantasy books, utopian novels, and interesting non-fictions. I'm a big comic book nerd as well.
