As someone who is newly single, I have renewed my desire to grow my sense of perspective by traveling the world and and spending quality time with interesting people. I am a minimalist and while I certainly take advantage of hotel rooms and hostels, I would also enjoy spending quality time with the locals. I have yet to surf on a couch, but (A.) I sleep really well on sofas, and (B.) this seems to be mutually beneficial to all.

In 2012 I bought a house pretty much straight out of college when the prices were at an all-time low. It wasn't the most responsible decision at the time, but I told myself, "If I can't afford a house now, I'll never be able to afford one!" I have never regretted it.
