ABOUT ME

I am a restless individual. I cannot sit still for very long at all. I have to keep moving, experiencing, and growing.

I am currently living in Japan, working as a teacher to pay the bills, while using the opportunity to springboard myself around the world. I am currently penning a couple of novels, which I hope to soon publish.

I have the attention span of a ferret in a bag of chocolate covered pretzels (none at all).

PHILOSOPHY

I am this moment.

I want to go out screaming. The world is always so held up on needing a reason, but sometimes the best reason to do something is no reason at all.

Music: Chvrches, Fall Out Boy, Bastille, Of Monsters and Men, Owl City, One Republic, Ellie Goulding, Mumford and Sons, anything that makes me feel good.

Books: I am a huge fantasy nerd. That means Harry Potter, Song of Ice and Fire Series, Eragon, etc. But also more literary stuff takes my interest as well: fiction, poetry, and short stories. e.e. cummings, Mark Richard, George Saunders, Beat poetry. If it grabs my attention, I will read it.

A very powerful book, definitely up there for me, is Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After 21 years of being so obese that I could barely walk, after a dozen doctors and everyone in my family begging me to try to lose weight, after hating everything about myself and everything I could not do, then something changed. I woke up and I decided to be free.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to speak some Japanese, How to Tie a knot that may one day save your life, I can show you how to lose 250 pounds without anyone's help but your own, I can show you how to use your imagination to turn a piece of paper into a dream, I can show you how to eat more sushi than humanly possible, and I can show you anything I am capable of.
