I came from a family that never thought traveling was a feasible opportunity.

Knowing that education is the foundation of a successful life, I made the tough decision to join the United States Marine Corps. at age 17. This would allow me to later utilize the US Government's GI Bill and provide myself with a free education. After serving 6 years in the military, I would go on to complete my Master's Degree in Finance.

Throughout the course of my studies, I completed numerous study abroad programs including Semester at Sea. Over the course of a summer, we would travel to 11 different countries, exploring the vast cultures each country provided and experiencing eye-opening adventures. This small world I live in is more vast than I could have known. The people I've met and the cultures I have thrown myself into, have shaped the way I perceive my life on a daily basis.

My inspiration for travel was formed by the notion that any foundation no matter where you live, what religion you practice or what your beliefs may be; we all have the same core principles. We want a better life for our children and our children's children.

We all value our communities, and love reaching out to new visitors. I'm not traveling just for the selfie, I'm traveling for a deeper sense and understanding about how we may be all different but more often than not we have more in common than we thought.

After traveling to 64 countries, I have seen such disparities and injustice in this world. I'm fed up with the notion that one man can't change the world. While I won't cure cancer or any major epidemics, my goal is to make as many people's lives better as humanly possible.
I love being outdoors, reading, and just being around good people. My best night would be on a lake camping drinking with friends.
