I want to meet local people and fellow travellers and have the opportunity to share experiences and tips. I love having the chance to learn and expand my knowledge. Couch surfing sounds a great way to meet like minded people.
To try new experiences, it's not everyday a total stranger will go out of their way to help you out. Once I return home I would love to help out others in my position.
