About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live my best life and try to bring the rest of the world along with me.

Currently working on starting a new social enterprise focused around sustainability, creative working, and community!

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy, friendly, easygoing and respectful person. I have a deep passion for traveling, nature, environmentalism, exploring new places, meeting new people and sustainable earth-friendly businesses!

I'm also a real foodie and am the owner of a vegan resturaunt on the island of Koh Phangan in Thailand, check us out on Instagram (@Karmakafe_) and I'm currently in the process of starting a new eco-friendly business!
If you're planning on coming to Thailand any time give me a shout and I'd be happy to advise and be a tour guide!

PHILOSOPHY:

Firstly, be kind, secondly, be trustworthy and thirdly strive to make the world a better place for all to live in.

If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves - Thomas A. Edison

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined Couchsurfing in 2014 and have used it to travel through the USA, I've since been based in Thailand so haven't used the site much but would love to begin utilising it more as it's such a great way to meet new people and make travelling more accessible to all.

Even if I'm not staying with you I would for sure be up for meeting and exploring. Also, I love to cook so would be happy to make breakfasts/lunches/dinners for my hosts :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've surfed my way around LA and San Francisco met incredible people and had some unforgettable experiences.

Interests

Traveling, music, poetry (especially spoken word/poetry slams) exploring art galleries, museums, beautiful architecture, street art, photography, volunteering, reading, outdoor activities, scuba diving, horse riding.

I'm a Gemini so the list of my interests is literally endless, but you will most likely find me in an old book store, thrift shop or taking photos of old buildings, trees or flowers (I have a slight addiction to taking photos of nature).

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything with a catchy beat, deep baseline or meaningful lyrics gets my attention!

I love to read, asking me to choose my favorite book would be like asking a parent to choose their favorite child!
However, a few of my favourite authors include: Elizabeth Gilbert, Maya Angelou, Khaled Hosseini, Paulo Cohelo, Bell Hooks, Anias Nin and The Desiderata of Happiness by Max Ehrman is potentially one of my favorite things ever printed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering in a rural community within Nicaragua for three months. I lived with a host family in a very basic off the grid home, I came to see my hosts as a second family! Going back to basics and living with no electricity, no running water, getting up with the sunrise and going to bed with the sunset was one of the most humbling experiences of my life - teaching me how community is one of the most vital areas of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a constant thirst for knowledge, I love to sit, listen and talk for hours. Some of my favourite memories are of deep conversations with people I've just met. I particularly enjoy talking about subjects such as philosophy, psychology, poetry, spirituality, criminology, human rights... the list is endless.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My love for plant based food, stories from around the world, yoga practice, meditation techniques, business advice, life coaching skills, photography and art skills.
