Overview
About Me
Hola!
I'm Bronson, from Minnesota, USA, and I live with Ahmed (you can see his profile below). We've been together for almost 10 years and recently moved to Chicago!
We're both easygoing, open-minded, love to travel and meet new people and learn about other cultures.
I'm a freelance translator and journalist, and Ahmed has worked at various nonprofits.
We want to make the most out of our travels and couchsurf with people in different countries and continents. Looking forward to meeting you !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Ahmed and I hosted dozens of couchsurfers in Xalapa and Mexico City. Now we're in Chicago and hope to meet and host couchsurfers in our new city!
We have also hosted many people through AirBnb, and we spent two months volunteering on a nonprofit community farm in Northern California.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience ended up being my best! I met my best friend and we've been inseparable for eight years, and now we're married! (user — amd)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent New Years' 2014 in Zipolite, Mexico, my favorite beach ever: hippie, gay, nudist, cosmopolitan and traditional Mexican-Oaxacan beach with great waves, sun and sand.
Watched baby turtles emerge from their shells and out to the sea, from the spot that they would return to many years later to give birth.
I survived 2012's Hurricane Sandy on a Disney cruise ship!
Being an uncle many times over!
Saw Radiohead in concert in Mexico City two days in a row, discovered a paradise beach outside the ruins of Acapulco and camped near an area where UFO spottings are common (but not the night I went xD)
Teach, Learn, Share
Couchsurfing is a way to get under the skin of a certain people and find out what makes them tic. It helps you learn how and why they do what they do and think what they think.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We love to cook and I can make my host a delicious Mexican or vegetarian meal with limited ingredients. We love to experiment and be creative!
We can also tell share stories and experiences and talk about our unique histories! We can teach Spanish and English, too.
Countries I’ve Visited
Brazil, Costa Rica, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Saint Martin (French part), Thailand, Turkey, Virgin Islands, U.S.
