About Me
Hello!
My name is Bronte, I am 25 years old. I live in Melbourne, Australia and I work full time as a veterinary nurse.
Animals are my biggest passion, I will always stop to pat an animal and always do my best to help all creatures. At home I have 2 dogs; Walter (1 year old) and Porschia (8 years old). I have 3 cats; Golly (4 years old), Karma (8 years old) and Millie (15 years old). I have a horse named Riley who is 22 years old and lives on a farm 40 minutes from my home.
I live at home with my beautiful mum, and my older brother Blayke comes down to stay with us frequently. My family means everything to me and being away from them is hard.
I have grown a deep love for travelling, experiencing different cultures and meeting beautiful people from all over the world. I love sharing stories, building friendships and creating memories together.
I am not the best chef, if I’m completely honest my mum still does most the cooking at home…
But I am an excellent cleaner (half my job is to clean after animals!).
I am a tidy person, I like things being organised and I love helping where I can.
I am typically quite introverted, I’ve done a lot of self healing to learn how to come out of my shell but I still have a long way to go. I am not loud or boisterous.
I prefer being out in nature over drinking at a bar, however I won’t say no if there’s good music and drinks!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am travelling solo across Latin America and I’m hoping to meet people and create bonds so I don’t feel so lost by myself. I want to experience your lives, your cultures and the things that you love doing. I will also miss my own pets and any chance of staying somewhere with some dogs or cats will make my day!
Interests
I love hiking, exploring nature and being around animals. I enjoy spending the day at the beach, swimming in any sort of water, looking after animals, listening to music, watching movies/TV shows and reading books. I have a big interest in spirituality, so if you are spiritual I’d love to create a special bond.
I wake up every morning and have a coffee, no matter where I am or what I’m doing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all sorts of music, I love finding new music. I have a playlist for all different types of music (even one for the pets when I leave for work).
My favourite TV series include Breaking Bad (where my dog Walter got his name from), Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, animation series including South Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad. I love all of David Attenborough’s documentaries.
I have a very diverse range of movies that I watch. I love horror and thriller movies, comedy movies when I’m feeling it, true crime documentaries, etc. My favourite movies include all of the Studio Ghibli films (particularly Howl’s Moving Castle), Step Brothers, The Hangover, The Conjuring.
I don’t have any particular book that I can name my favourite, but I usually read crime & thriller books, or self healing books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My most recent accomplishment was hiking to Everest Base Camp
Teach, Learn, Share
I am learning Spanish, I speak English as my native language so can try to help out where possible. I would love to become fluent in Spanish to help me with my travels, any tips you have will be greatly appreciated!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a very good cleaner, I’m more than happy to clean for you. I can look after your animals, including medicating, feeding, bathing - I can help assess any health conditions on your pets.
I can help cook, I at least know how to chop up food (I can’t guarantee that anything I make will be good).
I can help you learn English (although I’m not a teacher, I will do my best).
