ABOUT ME
Firstly - please note that I actually live in Glenlyon which is ten minutes drive from Daylesford and there is no public transport here.

About me hey... well, I have been a teacher, a student (of education and life), a cemetery specialist (yes it is an unusual job!) a listener, window cleaner, occasional singer, personality profiler, friend, photographer and traveller (amongst about 100 other things). I love a good chat, I have heaps of stories to share, really love to sing and dance. I can profile your personality or just have a drink and a laugh with you.

I also run a folk music festival and host folk music concerts in my home.

PHILOSOPHY

Make the most of life - have fun! Always look at the bright side of everything, even unfortunate events can have good points - you just have to look for them!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed with 6 fantastic families and singles. Attended an event in Melbourne and tell everyone I meet about how wonderful couch surfing is.

Initially I surfed under the code name JenBron as I was travelling with my friend Jenni until she broke her back in Laos. Then after returning her to her family and friends I completed the trip, and couch surfing on my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two families in Singapore, two in Spain, one in Czech Republic and one in Sydney. All were fantastic people with great stories to share.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Loads of things. In April 2009 was an occupant of 3 hospitals through Laos and Thailand - luckily I wasn't sick at the time, but was caring for my friend who broke her back. Have travelled a lot, taught a lot, laughed a lot in lots of varied countries. Survived three weeks in Egypt and Israel with no luggage and little cash, got shot at (or at least I was very close to a shooting) while working in Papua New Guinea. I worked in Papua New Guinea teaching Doctors, Nurses and Midwives how to teach - it was an amazing experience, spent 12 months flying back and forth from Melbourne.

I cared for my mother who had dementia for many years until she passed away in 2021. It was a privilege to be with her until the end.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach - English, how to wash windows, about the law in Australia, meditation: share - Myers Briggs personality info, recipes, songs. I am also a tour guide and can tell you lots of interesting facts, figures and history of Australia, especially of the east coast of Australia.
