I'm Brook. I was born and currently live in the United States. I love to play music, go outside (hiking, snowboarding, camping, swimming), cook, and make friends.

I was recently accepted to Utrecht University and will be traveling to the Netherlands to find housing in April and May. Looking for a place to stay for some of the time.

I've lived with roommates for over 5 years and am very respectful of others space. I tend to be pretty tidy and put together. I'm an ex-smoker but don't mind if others smoke, and I love to get a beer or go out with friends.

I love history and exploring new places. I would love to explore Utrecht to understand more the place I will hopefully be living for a few years.

I really want to couchsurf to make some friends in the Netherlands. Having friends is important when moving to a new country because it can be lonely. I would also like to learn as much Dutch as possible before I move.

I would really like to make some friends and connections in the NL before I move there. I think it would be a great way to get to know the area more than staying alone in a hostel or Airbnb.

I would love to learn about Utrecht from someone who lives there, local knowledge is always the best.

Música, películas y libros

Music is a really important part of my life. I sing and play guitar, piano, trumpet, and some violin. Going to concerts and live events are one of my favorite ways to go out. I love listening to music with others, sharing music, and talking about music. If you're not into music that's ok too haha

Recently I did a 10 day sailing trip with a couple my partner and I met on CrewFinder.com. We sailed through some of the Philippines with them and explored some pretty incredible places, often getting to see the most beautiful tourist locations after the tours had left for the day. I have lots of photos to show if you'd like to see haha

I will be attempting to pick up some Dutch quickly so if you speak it, I will probably ask you to teach me some words if that's okay. I'm sure I also have some skills you would be interest in as well, even if it's just learning to make shakshuka haha (one of my favorite dishes to make)

I love meeting new people and sharing stories, and I am a great conversationalist and also love to laugh and have fun. I'm a pretty good cook and love making meals with others and just spend some quality time with people. I really loved living with roommates, I love the communal living and sharing and spending time with others and I would be excited to do it again.
