Hi!
I am an Exercise Physiologist by trade, an optimistic travel addict by nature! I am from Perth in Western Australia and I am spending 12 months living in Canada, at this stage basing myself in BC but want to explore as much of the country as I can!

I love being outdoors, even in a city I love to just stroll the streets and soak it all in! I'm fascinated by architecture, music, and any local culture! I am currently working on my photgraphy skills- my primary interest being urban, landscape and wildlife photgraphy (I am still very amateur at the moment).

I have mastered the art of living out of a backpack so I am able to keep my belongings neat and compact at any stop off and I have become a bit of a minimalist so I am happy to get by with the bare necessities.

I'm easy going but love to be busy and on the move! I will have a chat to anyone and love to have a laugh!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have recently moved up to Whistler to spend a year working abroad but I am looking to explore as much of Canada as I can whilst I am here!! When I travel I love to try and experience each country/city/town as raw as possible but interacting with locals rather than sticking to the traditional tourist route (says the chick who has just moved to Whistler haha). I want to know the best local places to eat/drink and understand what these places really have to offer. I have found that when I stay in hostels I end up meeting a lot of people from similar places and countries. I'd love to find out the hidden gems that every town has to offer (which only locals will know!).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and constantly will have music playing at home or my headphones in when I am on the move and I am super passionate about live music!! I can appreciate all types of genres but typically find myself predominantly listening to acoustic, indie pop rock, math rock or electro pop. I listen to a lot of Australian music such as Tame Impala, Cold War Kids, Meg Mac, Smith Street Band, Gang of Youths, Holy Holy, Flight Facilities, Rufus, The Kite String Tangle. But also love so many international acts like Foals, Alt J, Bon Iver, James Blake, The National, and of course old classics like Chili Peppers, Blink 182, Nirvana, Radiohead, and even back to The Eagles, Creedence, Tracy Chapman.... the lists go on!!

Reading wise I love a good biography or autobiography - Anthony Kiedis "Scar Tissue" is one of my favourite reads of all time !!

Love a good comedy flick!! Followed by action, thriller or doco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling through South and Central America for 8 months is probably the coolest thing I have done to date!
