Hello! My name is Brooke. I'm an aspiring artist traveling around the continental United States with my boyfriend, Eli. We live in a van that we have converted into a traveling home. Eli is a software engineer and I'm proficient in arts and crafts but together we are just a couple of nerdy kids trying to figure out this van life thing. We are very social and love to meet new people and experience new things.

I have no experience with Couchsurfing but I have only heard great things and it seems like a fun opportunity. Eli has co-hosted surfers at his brother's apartment before and he has loved the experience. Neither of us have ever stayed with a host before but we are excited to try it! Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard a lot about Couchsurfing from friends and it seems like such a fun and unique experience. I love to meet new people and hear their stories.
Aside from that, to be completely transparent, we really need places to park our van-house. WiFi and showers are also a hot commodity for us but we have gym memberships so we can shower elsewhere, if you prefer.

Interests

The two loves of my life are art and travel. I'm a crafty person and I will make something out of any art medium that you put in front of me. My dream is to make a career out of art and use it to travel the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I will listen to anything. I particularly enjoy most metal and pretty much any form of rock. Some of my favorite artists are Kamelot, Epica, Watsky, and Panic at the Disco.
Movies/ TV- Some of my favorite movies include Harry Potter, LoTR, anything Studio Ghibli, Fantastic Beasts, and Moulin Rouge. Eli and I are also pretty fond of anime.
Books- Again, Harry Potter and LoTR. You can't go wrong with those. I also really love Anne Rice books and The Night Circus. I tend to lean towards fantasy and horror as far as genres go.

Teach, Learn, Share

Eli and I love to learn new things. Show us your word!
As for teaching, I know a decent amount about art and crafting. If you want to learn about painting, drawing, crocheting, or calligraphy, I would be happy to help! I have also taken music lessons since I was a kid and I know my way around a piano and violin.
Eli is very proficient in technological endeavors. If you want to know about web design, programming, video games, photography, or motorcycles, he's your guy!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Honestly, we don't have much. We live in a van. We can offer to make you dinner, clean your house, pull weeds, whatever. Eli is also known in our friend group for his boozy desserts. Seriously, they're amazing.
If your interested, I can also offer you art. I do a lot of pet portraits so if you have an animal baby, I would be happy to paint them for you in exchange for letting us stay!
Other than that, we are really friendly people who are easy to get along with. We are happy to hang out and spend time with those who host us or keep to ourselves, whatever you're most comfortable with. We will always clean up after ourselves and respect your space.
