Hi, I am an American freelancer living in the Netherlands with my partner. We live in a nice quiet city in South Holland called Dordrecht with canal views, restaurants and shops from our window and a nice rooftop terrace. We both enjoy going for walks and exploring outside with our two rescue dogs or just staying in playing video games. We are both vegetarian. I also enjoy a beer... Beer is a vegetable, right?

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I have been on the go since 2010 starting with the Czech Republic, and couch surfing through most of Eastern and Western Europe and Scandinavia. Now that I am living in Dordrecht, we won't need a place to stay so we're offering a private room for a single person in our place (we only have a small bed).

Music: Very diverse, from classical to techno, from folk to rap. A few of my favorite artists are Fleet Foxes, The Arcade Fire, Kurt Vile, Panda Bear, Tickley Feather, PAW Tracks..

My partner and I converted a removal van into a tiny house and travelled from the UK to Greece to spend three months volunteering at a refugee camp.

I have an English teaching and Linguistics degree, which is how I make money on the road (online English classes). I would be willing to practice some English with you. I would also love to learn a bit of your language.

I can share the experience of canal life, cook you vegetarian meals, and if you're here on a weekend, I can take you with my dogs for a nice hike, bike, or boat ride through the Nationaal Park De Biesbosch.
