About Me

Hello fellow couchsurfers and hosts! My name is Brooke and I am from New Zealand, Hawaii and Oregon😊 I grew up traveling around the world with my family and honestly consider myself more of a citizen of the world rather than identifying to any one place. I am eternally grateful to be living my lifelong dream of backpacking through South America!! Travel to me, means exploring more beautiful places and adventures in nature, learning to see the world trough others eyes and broadening my understanding of this crazy beautiful life, meeting new friends with unique passions, minds and hearts all over the world, and finding more and more everyday exactly what it means to live life authentically and freely. I love permaculture, learning new crafts, live music, organic farming gardening, plants, animals (esp. dogs!), cooking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, basically anything outside in nature. My hope for using the Couchsurfing website is to meet more people living in the areas where I travel and experience more authentic experiences and interactions outside of a typical tourist agenda. I am tidy, responsible and respectful, kind, adventurous and independent . Respect and kindness are all that I request 🙏

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently attended and graduated from an Earthship Biotecture Academy in Conlonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. With a group of amazing souls from all over the world we helped construct 4 fully self sustaining houses made of out of over 1,000 old car tires and mountains of recycled cans, plastic and glass bottles. The community building involved was one of the most rewarding and cherished experiences of my life and I now have family in most countries of the world! The building and conceptual skills I have gained are invaluable and I feel as though this dream journey has only just begun💚
