ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Dallas. I'm a Texan through and through. For as long as I can remember I've loved to travel and that has lead me to explore as many states as I can over here and occasionally venture overseas on my adventures.
I have been fortunate enough to visit England and Russia. I would love to visit more European countries, Spain first with my beautiful girlfriend, Hannah.
I love music and films. I work in an auto garage so I can talk about cars, motorcycles, or formula one for hours.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the change you want to see in this world. The way you treat people comes back around so I try to be as nice, understanding, and forgiving as I would like someone to be toward me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed on a few friend's couches but nothing too extensive. I would love to get out and explore more parts of the world and see the locales I visit through the eyes of the people who live there day in and day out so I can get a more accurate picture of what they experience.

Interests

I play bass in a 60s-style rock band called The Birds of Night. I love art and museums. As I said above, pretty much anything with an engine and that goes fast will hold my attention.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies are Senna and The Blues Brothers. Favorite music is pretty much anything from the 40s-90s that makes you tap your toe and want to dance. I also love the music of Frank Zappa. My favorite book is Huckleberry Finn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the sunrise over the Rocky Mountains. I have seen the sun set over the Texas plains. I've walked through buildings that are centuries old. These are amazing things, but the most amazing things typically happen in the everyday events that people tend to overlook. I try to keep my eyes open and see the truly remarkable acts of kindness that people display to each other and the natural beauty that exists all over this wondrous planet.

Teach, Learn, Share

All of the above. I love to teach and impart the knowledge that I have accrued on my short time on this planet, but it brings me just as much joy to learn something previously unknown by someone who knows better than I.
