About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spending the next year traveling overland from the Mediterranean to the Pacific ocean via the Balkans, the Middle East and Central Asia.

ABOUT ME

Well, it's a long story, but who's isn't? Moved to Budapest in Aug of '07. Moved from Tanzania where I had lived and worked for seven years. I've had a mixed career, mostly working in wildlife conservation. I'm a Gemini with Virgo rising, or a rooster or #7 depending on your ontological point-of-view.

I am a keen photographer and like to travel. At times I can seem a bit cool or critical, but am a genuine person and have lots of love and passion for life and people.

I am just now in the process of starting out on a new direction in life! As of March I have quit my job, put my career on hold and will be traveling for the next year starting from Oct. My basic plan is to go from the Balkans, to the Middle East and Central Asia.

PHILOSOPHY

You could sum up my personal philosophy in two ways ...

First, I have a tattoo on my arm, a series of Chinese characters, which reads (idiomatically): eat my banana. I got it to remind myself that, as I grow older, not forget to see the humor in life!

Second, I put a lot of stock in the following statement, "the degree to which I will discover you is the degree to which I will discover myself."
