Hey there! I'm a new traveler who’s couch surfed before and absolutely loved it! Staying in a hostel or hotel doesn’t quite do the travel experience justice - it’s the people I’ve met that have made it incredible for me. If I am lucky enough to find an amiable host I look forward to learning about them, their experience as a local, and how they’ve learned to enjoy whatever city I am staying in. If I’m hosting and am lucky enough to find an amiable guest, im eager to hear about their perception of my locale, create some memorable experiences, and hopefully establish lifelong friendships.

PHILOSOPHY / MINDSET:
I believe very much in taking risks, having adventure, living richly, immersing oneself in the present, having fun, being open minded, being transparent, staying positive, and always making the best out of any situation. It may sound cliche but I truly feel like I'm wasting my life if I don't enjoy every second of it, so whether I'm doing something passive or active I intend to make it good for myself and the people around me.

Rather than do the tried and true hostel/hotel jumping, I'd much prefer to meet locals who have experience living in the city. As much as I like other travelers, I know I'll run into a number of them while I'm exploring. Not to sound creepy, but I also want to see how you live day to day and am interested in hearing how you enjoy the place you live. I want to share stories, experiences, and see what you're all about!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I’m a native Texan but a Californian at heart as I’ve lived there most of my life. I live in D.C nowadays but have been across much of the US (e.g., Oregon, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, West Virginia, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Hawaii) and travel often for work. I’d like to think I can offer a fair perspective on American life because of these!

Besides this I love to cook and experiment with new recipes. I try to be vegan and like weightlifting and am obsessed with how I can pack protein into my meals without sacrificing taste. Perhaps you can be my guinea pig?

My place is fairly small but sufficient to live. If you’re like me you won’t spend much time in the house either as there’s a whole city to explore.

I read more news than I should and have too much information about politics than I’d like to have. Am always willing to brain dump this store of useless knowledge on willing souls.

I had originally planned on being a therapist before I started working as a software developer. My girlfriend and I are mushy people who love to talk about feelings and life stories, so if you have an open mind and are willing to share your story with us we’d love to reciprocate.
