About Me

CURRENT MISSION

enjoying life, preparing and searching for the next big phase

ABOUT ME

I recently graduated from James Madison University, and I am headed out to Colorado for some fun after my LSAT. I will be applying for jobs and grad school whilst enjoying the mountains.

I'm a pretty laid-back guy who isn't ready to start slaving away 80 hours a week for a paycheck; I want to eventually find a calling, something that I want to build a career out of. Many people seriously think that I am odd or not right for being unsure of my life plans at 23 (I think it is they who are crazy...). I have accomplished quite a bit in my 23 years, personally and professionally. But, I want to explore more of life before I resign myself to a career in economics or the bar.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm hoping to discover it. So far, I try my best to follow the golden rule.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My buddy traveled the world for two years before returning to university, and he was helped by many kind people around the globe. I hope to meet some great people and to help others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:

Catch 22 by Heller
1984 by Orwell
Black Swan by Taleb
Godfather by Puzo
Ravens by Christopher Robbins
The Conscious of a Liberal by Krugman

Music

All kinds, but especially funk, reggae, blues, and punk genres. All music, really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen such incredible beauty in nature. From times hiking in areas all over the east coast of the US, to times on the shore of the most picturesque and secluded beaches in the tropics. When I recognize exceptional beauty in nature, I consciously try to store it away in my mind, but I can never recreate it as it was witnessed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty well read, and I am always open to listen to new ideas. I am always trying to improve my language skills. At heart, I am a huge nerd, and will gladly ramble on about anything after a drink or two.
