I'm Matt, people call me the Judge. I'm brand new to this thing so forgive me if my profile is less than ideal. I love the idea behind CS, i'm trying to change myself and my lifestyle to put a big emphasis on community, and i've always been interesting in sharing my culture and learning about/experiencing other cultures.

music: lots and lots of punk, hardcore and metal. i love: norma jean, underoath, zao, rancid, the distillers, dead kennedy's, bad brains, as i lay dying, the killers, sufjan stevens, Sigur Ros, the bronx, blindside, against me! but lately i'm just listening to a lot of different stuff

movies: Across the Universe, fight club, sherrybaby, i like music dvds, memento, fear and loathing in las vegas, Darjeeling Limited, etc

books: anything by chuck palahniuk or henry rollins, "drugs are nice" - lisa crystal carver, "american hardcore: a tribal history of hardcore punk", "Making stuff and doing thing: a DIY guide to life"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i took the California Zephyr (train) from chicago to northern california... beautiful sights (but it was about 60 hrs to get there)

Teach, Learn, Share

teach: guitar, psychological stuff, old-school "prison" tattooing, hand drums, knowledge of protestant christian theology, knowledge of underground rock music, graphic design, a few really great recipes,

learn: i'm always interested in working on my french and spanish, i love learning how to cook new dishes.
