About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To gallop through rainstorms in as many countries as possible
ABOUT ME
I just finished up a law degree at McGill University in Montreal. Before this I worked for the Canadian organization Engineers Without Borders. I had the pleasure of spending time in Ghana and Malawi, as well as travelling to several countries in the neighbourhood.
Last year I spent three months in Manila, Philippines, doing a human rights internship. I then got to go to Grenoble, France, to finish my studies.
Now I'm more or less based in Toronto. I will be starting my articling (internship) position at a community legal clinic in August.
I am easy-going, love trying any food, and always enjoy dancing or singing and playing the ukulele or guitar, or banging a beat on a random pot or pan. Preferably in a kitchen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I took part in a bunch of CS activities in Manila and in Grenoble (lots of hiking!) and I enjoy meeting people one-on-one for coffee or potlucks. I also surfed a bit in France.
Interests
I enjoy sing-a-longs with friends, drinks on a patio, taking in live music (acoustic shows for drinks with friends or more electronic dance shows for a night of dancing), music festivals, biking around cities or simply wandering their side-streets on foot, waving at people I don't know, sitting in cafes, beat-boxing while doing the dishes, jogging through parks, inventing words, engaging in acts of snafoolery, dining, accents, homes with faded grocery store names painted on their brick-work, etc.!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite author is Kurt Vonnegut, and my favourite band is ballboy.
The best book I've read recently is Far North by Marcel Theroux. It's beautiful and haunting!
My favourite movies are Rushmore and Ghostdog: the Way of the Samurai.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once in Ghana I biked through a huge swarm of bees that was apparently migrating from one hive to another.
I did not get stung.
