ABOUT ME

We're an american chick and an aussie fella, married for about a year and a half. Chris is 28 and Tim's 32. We recently moved from Sydney, Australia to a beautiful little mountain town in Colorado called Buena Vista. We moved here to be near Chris's family for a while, and are loving the incredible views, fresh air, and amazing community, but are also missing the chaos of city living. Tm's a chef who does art and music on the side. Chris is a barista/budding coffee roaster and roller derby novice. We both love music, books, bike riding, good food, good drink, interesting people, our cat, art.. etc. We're honest, friendly folk lookin to meet some more honest, friendly folk!

PHILOSOPHY

We try and see the beauty in everything. We believe in lots of laughter, good food, good wine, good friends, and love..

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've been hosted by several different people during a trip we took last fall (loved it), and have hosted once.. looking forward to more opportunities to host now that the summer/tourist season is arriving!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted and been hosted, loved both experiences. We took a trip last fall and couchsurfed the east coast, and it was such an amazing way to meet great people and really see the country in a way we couldn't have on our own! We've also done a lot of unofficial couchsurfing/hosting.. we've even got a friend from Australia coming to stay with us this summer for 3 months!

we both love anything a little magical, off-beat, challenging, beautiful.
Chris's fave movies right now are eternal sunshine, stranger than fiction, the labyrinth, amelie, grey gardens.. and tim likes starwars, ninja movies, the alien movies. right now tim's reading a book about the history of australia, and chris is reading through the bbc's 'top 100 books ever written', currently reading 'a tale of 2 cities.'

We met when we were both living by the beach in Sydney, Australia... warm summer nights with good food and good wine.. that was pretty amazing. Chris just won her first barista comp because she's amazing :-)

well.. tim's a chef, so he can teach you how to cook many wonderous delights. chris is learning to knit, so you can learn with her, or you can put on her roller skates and she can teach you how to do a fancy stop on your toe-stops :-)
