ABOUT ME
I spent most of my life in Moscow, Russia. It was a good start: awesome city, great people, nice university, perfect weather (yes, sometimes it is cold down there). Something interesting is going on everyday, you just have to keep eye on it.
Still, I always wanted to try to live elsewhere for a while, but I was never serious about that.
About a year ago I moved to the States, and now I live in Berkeley, California. Actually, I did that to make long distance relationship short, but I gained a way more. I couldn't imagine a better place to live in. So many cool people around, so much to explore, such a brilliant mixture of a university town and the heart of the hippie movement, that is still there. Now I study lingustics, and I'm absolutely captured by it. This summer I'm going to Oaxaca, Mexico, to study an indingenous language there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in a wet, musty, dark and cold cave. No sun, no life. I came out and realized: breathing is wonderful, fog is fresh, and moonlight is bright. Earth is beautiful! Unexpected finding. Everything is comparative.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have three hobbies besides linguistics - cooking, yoga and singing, so I can share and teach all three of those, if you are interested. And of course, I can teach you some Russian, this is always a pleasure for me.
