About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To stop existing and start living; to immerse myself in a new culture and let it change me.

And to finish grad school, which might be more difficult than the above... :P

ABOUT ME

I'm just your typical world-travelling, language-studying, wine-drinking, mountain-hiking, pool-playing, adventure-seeking Jewish+Shawnee girl from California, trying to make a change in local communities wherever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everything in life amounts to experience in some way. Every part of life is solely for experience, so why live doing the same thing over and over again? Shake it up. Do something new. Value each experience you're given. That's how I live my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I CONTRIBUTE TO COUCHSURFING

I unfortunately am still traveling around quite a bit, but once I have a place, come find me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing is one of the best ideas anyone has ever come up with. I've met so many great people and discovered a few countries in a way that was only possible because of the hosts.

Interests

Good sights. Good company. Good food. I love music, art, dancing, the beach, nature, people, and trying new things -- especially if they terrify me!

Music, Movies, and Books

The only type of music I don't like is punk. My favorite bands are The Black Keys, Duran Duran, Grimes, Bel Heir, and Brand New. As far as books go, I like classics and love sci-fi, and I'm one of those people that no matter what, if I start a book, I must finish it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took art classes in Italy and couchsurfed through England before stopping in Valencia for university. I've done a lot and seen a lot, but it's never enough!

Teach, Learn, Share

Being born in Oklahoma, raised in Idaho, living in California, and studying in Italy, England, and Spain, I've been exposed to numerous cultures. I personally want to learn about others' backgrounds and cultures, and what made people the way they are. I've got a story, and so do you! I want to hear it and see if my culture can benefit by yours.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you words and phrases in Cherokee, as well as teach you about the culture!

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Barbados, Canada, Croatia, France, Gibraltar, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Martin (French part), Slovakia, Slovenia, Vatican City State, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
