I am very active and especially enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Traveling, particularly around the State of Michigan, is one of my most favorite past times. Having grown up in a family that traveled extensively on a budget, particularly to almost all of the United States along with several other countries, I appreciate taking in all that is around me, wherever I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Camping out is at times not an option, and a hotel is not always my favorite. Meeting new people is a great way to get to know a new area. Couchsurfing lends itself to that experience.

Interests

My fun is endurance events whether on two legs, two wheels, or on/in the water racing open water swim events or sailing/racing the Great Lakes or other big bodies of water, also riding and gliding on the snow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completed the Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii in 2009. And swam the Straits of Mackinac.

I teach 8th Grade US History and Language Arts. Learning and sharing is how I am built.

Lots of knowledge of being active and the lifestyle that comes along with it. Also, an almost lifelong resident of Ann Arbor and can share what this place is all about, and talk all about how great the State of Michigan is.
