ABOUT ME

Like you, I love adventure and travel.

I was raised in Cape Town, South Africa where I fell in love with the ocean when my Dad taught me to windsurf. I remember dreaming that one day when I grew up I'd live on a beach somewhere where I could windsurf right in front of my house.

That dream came true in 2009 when I moved to the Caribbean. I now live between Cabarete (in the Dominican Republic) and Cape Town.

I'm a relationship coach and public speaker, passionate about helping couples to fix their troubled marriages.

As your guest... I'm friendly, easy going, considerate and quiet.

My mamma taught me manners, so I know which side of the plate the fork is meant to be on (not that it really matters).

I'm into music, philosophy, kite surfing, entrepreneurship and I'm pretty open minded. I love personality typing (I'm an ENTP Enneagram 7w6sx Spiral Dynamics Yellow).

During the day, I'll run my online business from my laptop in a nearby coffee shop and at night I'll be sound asleep by 11pm.

I'm into healthy living. I don't smoke. I love the occasional glass of Cabernet Sauvignon with dinner, but I'm probably not going to be asking you about the local night clubs.

I play guitar in duo and dance Salsa when I can.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

MUSIC: In my next life, I want to come back as a long haired rock drummer (OK, maybe we can leave out the long hair) - along with adoring groupies and platinum records. Or a spiritual guru. ;-)

I’m a bit of a musical nomad. I studied jazz guitar at university, yet grew up playing in heavy metal bands. At one point, I co-wrote a pop song that rose to #1 on the Top 40 charts. I’ll play it for you once we know each other better.

Here are some of my current weaknesses:
* Passionate rockers (think Dave Matthews, Alanis, Metallica)
* Thoughtful lyricists (think Jason Mraz, Ani Di Franco)

BOOKS: My bookshelf is littered with well worn psychology books, unread physics books (that make me look smart when friends come over) and books about relationships that are so highlighted you can't tell them apart from a child's coloring in book.

Lived as the only white man (for 5 miles) in an African ghetto. I lived there for 6 months.
