Overview
About Me
I've mostly been in the same area all my life, and want to travel more. I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, then moved to northwest Indiana. Very easygoing, not easily offended, and will discuss whatever. I think critically instead of just taking everything face-value in life. I'm a huge nerd; board games, card games, movies, computers, into lots of tech, makerspaces, etc. I'm a professional photographer so a nice day out for hiking and photos is always fun. Good with tools and my hands.
I've never smoked, enjoy drinking socially, no drugs other than legitimate prescriptions for their intended purpose.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I got sick of looking through hotel websites and honestly said to myself "I wish I just knew someone in the area" Then I found couchsurfing! It'd be great to know folks, especially where I want to travel, and hopefully be able to host some people later when I have a couch of my own to share.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm into lots of lo-fi and EDM music. I like anime, but definitely not all anime. One of my favorite movies is Behind Enemy Lines. Cowboy Bebop is one of the greatest anime, so is Samurai Champloo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Placed in a National Geographic photo contest once upon a time
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always naturally teaching/learning/sharing. Science, photography, tech , history, whatever.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of conversation about a lot of random things. If you want to talk, I tend to not shut up til you tell me to. If not, whatever! Potentially a fun time with games, going out to walk/hike/photograph/eat.
I try to always leave a place as good, or even better than when I left it. I'm a bit of a handyman, so who knows if it's not too complicated? Help with computer problems if you have them? Maybe!
