Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of Canada as possible during my two years here!
ABOUT ME
I am the youngest of 5 siblings and have an identical twin so I've always found it really easy to get on with people. Scottish at heart but my accent is hard to place (my mother is English, my twin spent a year in Australia, my eldest brother travelled through Asia and the other spent 4 years in Chicago studying). I have a passion for meeting new people and finding out all about them (I love how unique people can be). My interest in people led me to study Psychology at University in Edinburgh (awesome city!).
I'd like to describe myself as positive; I believe you can tackle any problem head on with a good smile and an incontrovertible sense of humour. I like to keep active (love mountain trekking) but I'm also a fan of chill out days full of book reading/movie watching/tea drinking. Currently travelling and working throughout Canada, I've fallen in love with this country (especially the people). Any job where I get to interact with people keeps me happy.
PHILOSOPHY
The only really important thing in life is the people in it. If everyone except yourself were to disappear overnight, there'd be no point any more. You touch far more people during the course of your life than you can possibly imagine. Smile at everyone (you may have just made their day!), be kind and treat others how you would like to be treated. Stay positive even if it's hard (I'm sure there's a quote involving lemons that should go here) and don't be afraid to laugh at yourself every now and then! Stay cool - be happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At this point I'm just a surfer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was introduced to Couchsurfing in Canada - the whole concept fascinated me. It really opened up my eyes to how trusting and caring people can be, which is really refreshing and restores your faith in humanity. So far I've only surfed; I haven't had one bad experience yet - literally having the time of my life.

Música, películas y libros
I'm a massive movie/book fan. Couldn't possibly list them all. Here are some of my current favourites;
Movies: Good Will Hunting, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Sunshine, LOTR Trilogy, Star Wars, Inception, MARVEL movies, Avatar, Joyeux Noel, Drive, Cloud Atlas.
Books: Robert Langdon series, Harry Potter, LOTR, Millennium trilogy, Val McDermid's crime novels, Charles Dickens, Tomorrow when the war began.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I hitch hiked all the way from Edinburgh to Paris whilst I was at University. It was a race and we came 5th out of 25 teams!
I've seen 9 of the 10 provinces in Canada (all but BC, which will follow shortly).
visited 9 states (4%)Create your own visited map of The World or Triposo world travel guide for Android

I can shoot a bow pretty well! It's a been a while but I'd like to get back into it. Also pretty light on my feet (grew up climbing trees and scaling walls). I can be a good cook when I'm patient enough and enjoy telling stories - especially ones involving me doing something stupid in the past (every good story deserves embellishment). Quite a good footballer (soccer!) and tennis/squash player too. Expert at brewing a good tea.
I'd love to learn more gymnastics and to be able to swim faster. Another language would be awesome too, but I think I lack the self discipline to sit down and learn (hands on approach works best with me)
