CURRENT MISSION

Travel as much as possible! There are too many interesting things and people in this world to sit still. I believe that traveling gives us a better understanding of what is around us and makes us better human beings! And, of course, try different beers!

ABOUT ME

First off I'm a fun lovin' guy that enjoys meeting all kinds of different people and going to different places. After going to school for so many years I decided that I wanted to take a few years to do what I wanted and after my year of studying abroad I found that I had the traveling bug. I always say "this is going to my last trip and then I will use my degree" but at the end of the trip I have more ideas of places that I need to go! It has turned into a good addiction.
I love to laugh and tell stories of past travels and talk about as many different sports as possible..that is my other addiction.
I love my family and friends back home in California and I'm lucky because my parents and friends have been very supportive about my travels and encourage me to keep going.
I love trying new things and if you can teach me something new then I will probably listen because I love to learn..especially if you can introduce me to a good beer I have never had before!

PHILOSOPHY

People should treat people as they would want to be treated!
I believe that if you want something bad enough in life that you can make it happen. You just have to make sacrifices in other parts of your life to make that happen.
People need to laugh more and think of situations in perspective...which is what I believe traveling can do for you. Create perspective and understanding.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just learned about the program so I have yet to participate in the community but the best thing to do is just spread the word about Couch Surfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any experience yet but just from reading some of the testimonials I can see that it is mostly positive! I can't wait to try couch surfing in Australia and meet new people!

Intereses

I love all kinds of sports! Pretty much any kind. Love them all! Fallin' in love with Rugby and Hockey all of a sudden.
I really want to learn how to surf and snowboard.
Traveling...that is all I have thought about the last 4 years..where can I go next?
I tend to keep up with international business and politics around the world but when I'm abroad I tend to keep it Irish bar rules "no religion, no politics"
When I'm with friends I enjoy going to the pub and trying new beers and have a good time with the friends.

Música, películas y libros

I love a good comedy. I have to admit I love Will Ferrell. I will watch Old School and Wedding Crashers any day of the week and twice on Sunday. I live my life one movie quote at a time and when you are hanging out with my friends you might not understand one word of our conversation because they are all quotes from movies that have meanings only to us. I also enjoy action movies..love the Bourne movies.
I enjoy Dan Brown books because they keep me hooked but I mostly read travel books.
Music is all over the place. My I-pod is filled with everything from Gilles Peterson, Jay-Z, Maroon 5, Stevie Ray Vaugne, The Beatles to Guns and Roses. I will admit I will dance to the pop stuff..hey its fun!

Just off the top of my head I have two...
1. The sunset in Santorini Greece is something that must of seen! People can tell you all about it but until you see it for yourself then you don't really understand.
2. The tents at Oktoberfest full (9000 people) just drinking and have a great time but not seeing one fight break out.

I really want to learn about as many different cultures and by couch surfing I really hope this will increase my knowledge. I have lived by the ocean my whole life but I have never learned how to surf. If somebody could help me to learn then I would be very appreciative.
I specialize in great places to see in Europe or how to travel as cheaply as possible in Europe, so if somebody is traveling there in the future then I would the man to talk to.
