About Me

My name is Bruna and I am a 20 years old student from Brazil :) Specifically from the south of Brazil, from
Currently I am doing a semester abroad, living and studying in Lleida, close to Barcelona.

I find it quite difficult to describe myself... I think the easiest way of getting to know me is meeting in person, but I am going to try my best to give you a short impression.

In general I am a very calm and sociable person. I love sitting down for a wine or an ice cold beer, having deep conversations.
Which doesn't mean that I sometimes also like to go for party!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Of course for meeting new people from all over the world. Probably the reason why everybody here is on CS.
I have a huge curiosity about all different cultures just as traditions and perspectives on different topics just as society, politics and way of living.

Furthermore being here in Europe for now I want to engage as much as possible with the culture here. And the best way to do so is by meeting with local people living here :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm in love with Brazilian music, especially "MPB" and "Bossa Nova". Currently my favorite singer is "Caetano Veloso".
About books, beside of basic literature I usually read Brazilian classics. To name one, the author "Érico Verissimo" is one of my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe the most amazing thing I've done so far was volunteering at an NGO in Bogota, Colombia. This NGO works with boys under the age of 18 who live in homeless situations. I taught them about Brazilian culture.
If you are intereated, I love to talk about this experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make the perfect chimarrão just as the rituals and traditions behind it :)

Beside of that:
I am basically curious about everything!
So what ever you can teach me, I am going to be a super interested listener! :)
About wine, beer, religion, history, society, psychology, meditation... The list goes on and on :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of stories, opinions and toughts about all kind of topics.
Beside of that: I would consider myself to be a good cook, something I am also happily going to share with you :) Also when it comes to traditional meals from where I am comming from.
For example a very good desert!
