About Me
NEXT STOP
Germany (Cologne, for 3 amazing days trying my best to use my poor German!) and Belgium (Brussels, for the best fries!! And an extraordinary Christmas!)
Can't wait!!!
ABOUT ME
In summer 2015 I've received my High School diploma and my admission letter to start my Law degree at the university I wanted... Well, everything I needed, but pretty much nothing I wanted! So I threw it all and decided for good to start my dream: traveling! And since then, I'm having the time of my life as an au pair on the French Riviera!
Always with a smile and trying to make my best out of every situation, I love meeting new people, sharing my experiences, but, mainly, talking about my home country (which I love with all my heart, and in which I made many of my best trips!), its culture, habits, etc.!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me&CouchSurfing
Since I'm a fresh "world citizen", I didn't have the opportunity to Surf yet, so I'm looking for changing this ASAP! I'd love to use my next trip to start my Surfing experience, so if you'd like to help me to tick the "CouchSurf" item off of my "Things to do before I die" list, feel welcome!
And don't take the 'couch' part of Couch Surfing too serious! A simple mattress on the floor sounds like a deal to me! I'm really not here only for "free accommodation", but also to start new friendships, make great memories and histories I'll be proud of remembering later!
Interests
Spending time with my friends&family are always something I'm up to (mainly if it involves traveling with them! Lots of my best trips were with my grandparents!). Nature and pretty much everything outdoor related is, to me, what is best in life to me, so I love going to the beach, lakes, parks, etc.
Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies (and preparing Brazilian meals is something I do with pleasure!), I'm not the next MasterChef, but I can assure you nobody died after eating a "brigadeiro" made by me!

Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely love brazilian music (mpb, pagode, funk - no, it's probably not the North American funk you're thinking of... to be sure you know what I'm talking about, check "Dennis DJ" on YouTube), but I also enjoy pop, r&b, electro, indie... I could talk all day about it!
I don't watch too many movies, but I'm really into TV shows (basically anything that it's on Netflix, I'm watching) and I can tell you my favorite movie: Corpse Bride (Google it before thinking I'm some kind of psycho and you'll see that it's actually a cute movie!);
Books... Well, I wouldn't be exaggerating if I told that I devour books! I'm practically all the time with a book in my hands (although lately I only have been reading French grammar books, because of my french course...) and with an endless list of those I want to read (or re-read)! The subjects vary, but I'm really into Philosophy, Psychology, Law, History and (be prepared) chick lists! Epic romances are always my night stand books!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd say three things I've done changed the way I see life:
Seeing the sunset in Arpoador, RJ. In Brazil, we have the habit of applaud the sunset (it's like thanking the nature for giving us one more day), and let me tell you... I even cried! haha It really gives you a sense of gratitude by the simple things in life!
Volunteer work for homeless children... I didn't had the opportunity to do a lot, but all the times I did were unforgettable! It's the most gratifying feeling in life, seeing how much difference you can make in someone's life, by actually doing so little!
Start a new life abroad! That was by far the most challenging thing I've done, it requires maturity, courage, lots of responsibility, patience, flexibility... but the rewards are countless and unforgettable! I'm so thankful for everything I've already done/saw/lived and I hope being able to continue this journey!
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak Portuguese, English, French and bit of Spanish! I also can survive with some Italian and I wish I'd be able to say that I know some German, but I have the same vocabulary as a 2 yo kid (maybe they even know more words than me!)
But I'd be glad to exchange all my knowledge!
I believe that everybody has always a good story/experience/advice/life philosophy to share, so I love talking about anything!
I also could teach you how to cook some Brazilian meal (as I said, not in a MasterChef level, but I assure you'll not run to the closest hospital after eating!).
