About Me
CURRENT MISSION
'Who lives sees, but who travels sees more" - I just wanna see the world and its fascinating people
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm a brazilian journalism student who likes reading & listening to good music, enjoys meeting new people and last, but not least, loves traveling!
I trully respect all the cultures and try to learn a bit of the history, language & habits of every place I've been and, for sure, I expect people to do the same and try not to get stuck in stereotypes.
I love having conversations, either about funny silly stuff or deep topics so you can find in me a good chatting partner.
I also believe in actions rather than words and the ones who have their cheeks blushed whenever they feel embarrassed are my favorite type of people :-)

PHILOSOPHY
Today only comes at once. Make the most of it.

If you know portuguese, I believe this poem speaks for me:
"Para ser grande, sê inteiro: nada teu exagera ou exclui.
Sê todo em cada coisa. Põe quanto és no mínimo que fazes,
Assim em cada lago a lua toda brilha porque alta vive."
(Fernando Pessoa)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm starting to attend to local CouchSurfing meetings, making some new friends while I'm not traveling, plus I'm always open to host someone!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new here so I'm really excited about getting to start my CS experience!
Interests
In key-words, I'd say I love music, reading, writing poetry, talk about life, about the universe, about philosophy, communication, habits and cultures around the world, make jokes (or be the joke instead, which happens pretty often, I must say), and enjoy life at the most of it :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love brazilian music such as national rock, bossa nova and MPB. I'm a HUGE fan of soul music, specially Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, I just love everything that comes from deep inside as their music does. I also enjoy international blues a lot, and a bit of new jazz and 60's/70's/80's rock bands. Guess I was born in the wrong time!
Books: Love them all, specially the ones written by latin american authors such as Garciaz Marques, Mario Vargas Llosa, Eduardo Galeano, etc. I'm also a big fan of 'marginal poetry', an specific kind of poetry that happened in Brazil during the 70s and was used to confront our dictatorship system. Names like Ferreira Gullar, Paulo Leminski and Chacal are always among my favourites. I grew up reading Harry Potter, so I just love it :) Another names I could mention as favourites are CS Lewis, Tolkien, Záfon, Jane Austen, JD Salinger, Maiakovski and Joyce. Ok, I'll stop now.
Movies: Drama/Comedy fan. Love deep characters but I seriously hate horror movies!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen the most amazing sunset of my life in Băișoara, Romania.
I've lived the best 2 moths of my life volunteering for an educational project in Cluj-Napoca.
I literally walked by foot from the bottom south to the top north of Budapest in just one day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you portuguese or a bit of french, if you want to! I can also teach you how to cook some brazilian dishes although I must say I'm not an expert in this area.
I love learning new languages and I still don't know how to drive (it's embarrassing, I know) so I'd love to give it a try.
