About Me

Hi, I am Bruna, and this is my short story. I always liked to be involved in different activities or I can say, I always liked a good challenge.
In 2015, I finished my master degree in Biomedical Engineering. I studied. I read. I lost (or gained) study nights on several areas. At one point I was studying anatomy, bionics and programming in C++. This improve a lot my flexibility and individual performance once I had to organize myself in order to be succeed. Biomedical made me, or rather helped me to become dynamic, creative, innovative and essentially able to approach problems in a multidisciplinary way.
I did Erasmus in Romania and after that I travelled hitchhiking for 2 months in the Balkan countries. I learned about culture, I finally started to understand what “adaptability” is. I met amazing people, I lived and slept in their homes, I started to understand how important is to see the real world with our own eyes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

You’ve got friends all around the world. If one day someone told you this, wouldn’t it be awesome? Well, it sure would! It would be absolutely fantastic if you can just fly to any country and find a couch to crash on for a few days. Your friend will tell you the best things to do in his/her city, show you the famous lanes where memories are made, direct you towards the nearest bus stand or metro station from where you can explore this new city you have just arrived in. But, it doesn’t seem to be possible right? How can you have friends all around the world? Well, Couchsurfing for me is the 1st step towards that!

Interests

Anything that involves management has always interested me. I was fortunate and pleased to work in different projects during my life (which made me more responsible and improved my team work skills too). Similarly, in the recent years, I had the privilege to develop various conference and as a result I am able to adapt my communication style and use my interpersonal skills to maintain my relationships.
I feel comfort to speak in the English, actually I was an English teacher for adults in last year.

Apart these activities, I was a Volunteer. I have been working on a social project that I am one of the founders called “Learn in azores islands”.

Now it's time to really understand "Where I can be an asset?" I'm looking for knowledge. Seeking challenges and I believe that travelling and doing volunteering abroad is a good opportunity for me. The opportunity to study real cases, discuss, exchange opinions is critical. And that is what I am searching for…the chance to learn…. I want to know / learn more.

I want the opportunity to work across different countries, with different people and locations. And I just love to travel…
