About Me
Hey guys! I'm Brunna, but people usually call me Boo - since its short, simple and easy.
I'm from Brazil, and I live in Belo Horizonte in the state of Minas Gerais with my family. I've been abroad four times already, three to the US and once to Colombia in San Andres Islands.
At the US the in first one I lived in Orlando, working for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for an exchange program and at the second and third I lived in Angelus Oaks working at a YMCA Camp, called Camp Round Meadow. And I love that kind of job so much that in Brazil I actually volunteer with an ONG called Step Up that helps training people who are interested in becoming camp counselours for the YMCA.
I'm a really really outgoing person, funny to be around, easy going, chill and I love to have different experiences and get to know different people, different cultures and all that. I've been planning to use couchsurfing for a while now but this time I think I'll finally be able to do so! Unfortunatelly I can't really accept any guests now, since I live with family and there's absolutely no room but I intend to do so when I finally have my own place!
Well, talking a little bit more about myself, I am a very active person, I love to talk and listen to people talking and telling me about their stories, I LOVE to dance, going to pubs, clubs, bars and parties, I love to take pictures - I'm not professional but I would love to get there someday! I write stories, and usually all of my characters have a little bit from people I've met thru the years, which is just one more reason why I love meeting new people. I love music, going to the beach, camping, hanging out with my friends, I love cooking, I love to travel and I love to feel like I'm being part of something, that I can actually share and make a difference in people's life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd be lying if I said that the the fact that you don't spend a lot when you do it didnt make any difference - because it did at first. But I've heard a lot about it, I've met people that did it, and I've been whilling to do it for the longest time ever! I guess that when you do it, you get to experience something completely different than when you go traveling solo, or when you do with friends, or stay at hotels for example.
The vision that I have, since I haven't tried it yet is that when you couchsurf you get to actually meet people from the place you're visiting, these people know the place, they usually want to show it to you, want to be a part of your experience, a part of your journey, and to me thats the coolest part of it and that's what I'm looking for.
Interests
I absolutely love going to the beach, I did try surf once, but it seemed way too hard when you don't actually have a sea to practice that much :( I loved stand up paddling, I love to dance, go out with my friends, take pictures, read books, write stories, nature related things (such as hiking, going camping and that kind of stuff), I love meeting new people, new places and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a lot of favorite bands and musics because I'm a really ecletic person - my taste goes from Hanson to Slipknot and Fetty Wap, so yes, is really easy to keep up with that part.
My favorite movie of all times is Hook, which leads to my favorite book being Peter Pan, I also love Harry Potter, and a lot of other diferent fantasy stories such as Narnia for example. I love the Briget Jones series, and I love books that makes you want to jump into them when you read them.
I'm a huge film fan, and I love to watch movies whenever I get the chance to, all kinds of movies really, horror, drama, love stories, those really bad comedy, all of it. I just really enjoy taking the time to watch movies and read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've worked at a summer camp. It doesnt really sound amazing unless you've done it and it changed your life and the whole perspective that you have about pretty much everything. To me summercamp was a lot more than just a summer, it was the affect I had on people and that they had back at me, was meeting new people that would become almost family to me, is learning from others, teaching and sharing a little bit of what I had. Falling in love with myself, with my life and the place I was, only to realize that that was the best experience I've ever had.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be absolutely down to teach everything that I possibly can, to learn a lot from my hosts - and even become friends with them! I would love to share a little bit of my knowledge and my experiences and I would love to hear from them aswell. I guess that's what makes the experience magical.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can try and teach a little bit of portuguese - speaking part since our gramatic is so confusing! And I can teach and talk a little bit of our culture, dance, history and even try and play a little bit of soccer! I could also teach recipes and do a little cooking here and there. I could share my life experience, the experience I have as a mom, and as a foreigner who has been seeing things that you probably haven't and would love to share her vision!
