Overview
About Me
My name is Bruno, I am 27 and currently study Architecture and Urbanism in São Paulo, Brazil. I have spent the last month volunteering in New Delhi, collecting lifestories of the people who live in the slums. I love meeting new people and learning how they think about, and live, their life, and that is what motivates me to travel and immerse myself in different cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing offers an unique chance to get to know a whole new side of any country. Music, Movies, and Books
I believe it is very difficult to choose any single favorite. They would rather depend on what we are feeling and experiencing at the moment in which we are living; some works can leave their mark and draw out feelings, in that moment, that others may not. Overall, though, I confess that I am more classic. I can name, right now, only a book that has recently affected me deeply, which is 'To Kill a Mockingbird', by Harper Lee.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most incredible things I believe I have ever done was to 'break out of the box', so to say. For the first time, I sought new things, new experiences and sights. I moved out of my parents house, out of my city, and threw myself out into the world. Looking back some time later, I guess that was the first steps that ended up in me travelling to meet the slums of Delhi, all the way across the globe, still searching, as in the beginning, for freedom.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love meeting new cultures and being able to share my own culture with others. I would enjoy teaching about Brazil: its music, dance, art, cooking, Portuguese language or any other aspect. Other than that, the knowledge I can offer is that of the things I am interested in; about the city, its relations to people so on. I would also enjoy otherwise just getting to know my host. I am also completely available to help with any of the house shores.
