About Me

Hey, my name is Bruno – I'm a passionate photographer, traveller and student of Christian Theology.

I grew up in a small town in the south of Germany but ever since I wanted to explore the world around me – close or far away. That's probably why I picked up photography early on and since then it accompanies me in all my travels and encounters.

Since then, I had the fortune to encounter so many wonderful people. After graduation, I spend a year in the ecumenical community of Taizé in France together with young people from all over the world. Afterwards, I
began my studies in Protestant Theology afterwards in Germany and later on also Islamic Studies. Since a long time, I'm committed to inter-religious dialogue in Germany and abroad, which has give me the opportunity to get to know so many different people from various backgrounds and faiths, especially in the Middle East.

Additionally, I work as a professional photographer, one of the greatest jobs I can imagine. I get to meet so many fascinating people, hear their stories and express their character through my photographs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is for me foremost about the people and their stories. I believe, there is no better way to understand a culture better that by getting to know its people and share moments and stories with them. But the deepest, most difficult and most rewarding journey is the inner one that we're all part of and where we give us some company for a while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After spending some days in Lima I traveled to the Peruvian Andes and immediately got mountain sickness on the hour long ride from the airport to a remote village in the countryside. The next day we started early on the back of a pickup truck to play football with a group of Peruvian Women at 4000m – everybody got Barca and Real Shirts. I never was so exhausted from running just a few meters – after 10 minutes I was done – and these small women were a hundred times more agile and persevering then I was.
