About Me

I'm a 19 (almost 20) year old Spanish guy that studies philosophy the most part of the year and that travels abroad to work at summer, which I really like doing because while earning some money I get to discover a totally new place. As you can tell, I love travelling and discovering new places, I've doing it since I was a kid; I thank my mom for that.
I try to be always positive and enjoy life as much as I can.
Also, I like to dye my hair every once in a while :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have only started to use it and I'm still discovering how it goes, I haven't yet been at anyones place through this website so I'm just testing how it works and for now seeing if someone would be so kind to accept me and my friend in their home for the nights of the 6th and the 7th in Stavanger, before I fly back to Barcelona :)

Interests

They might not look super interesting but I'm a simple person, I love to do a few things and I don't need much to be happy, just hanging out with friends can turn a bad day into a good one.
What I adore though, is traveling, is one if my passions and I want to continue doing that for a long time, eating chocolate, I can do that everyday and never get tired, it's way too good, specially the dark one; playing chess, I just love it and the more I play it and learn about it the more I like it; listening to music, I'm one of those persons who can be listening to music all day long, I love to have it in the background if I'm home and when I'm outside I tend to be wearing headphones, otherwise I feel like there's something missing; and last but not least I love socializing, being with people, hanging out with friends, meeting new people, you can get so much from it. And that's pretty much it about my main hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

This topic is way to extense to just write and few sentences about it but I'll try to be short.
Music: I'm into many different kinds of music, it's hard to choose one favourite genre or artist, I like combining different kinds but if I had to choose one it'd probably be Funky Music from the 80s, I like it too much, I never get tired of it, groups like Kool and the Gang and Earth Wind and Fire would probably be my top two.
And when it comes to music I don't like there's not many genres honestly, I don't really like Metal, it's not for me, Reggaeton, and I can't think of any other to be honest.
As from what I like the range is super extense, from Classical music to Pop, Electronic depending on the type and the song, I'm also super into Jazz and Blues because of my family, Indie, Reggae, Popular Music, Funk, Soul, and many more; and probably the group I've listened to the most has been The Beatles, there's nothing like them. I feel like I'm forgetting many things but it's hard to resume it all.

When it comes to books I love novels, as most of the people I assume, specially Adventure books, those are my favorite ones, but I also like a lot for example Philosophy books, I find them really interesting although it's harder to read them, it requires some concentration and interest. I don't really have a favourite book but the last one I read I absolutely loved it and I profoundly recommend it, specially if you're interested in politics as I am, and it is 1984 by George Orwell, and magnificent book, and currently I just started reading War of the Worlds by H.G.Wells.

Movies is another complicated topic to talk about because there are so many I like that it's difficult to choose between them. I feel like it's easier to talk about the types I don't like which are Fantasy movies, Terror movies, depending on the movie if it is just a jumpscare movie with no meaning behind it which then I don't really enjoy or if it has a well-developed plot with scary moments like The Shining from Stanley Kubrick which then I absolutely love. It depends a lot on the movie, if it has a good plot with an interesting story and good acting, if the photography and the acting is good then I tend to like the movies, I don't have an specific favourite type. Also, another thing that it's very important to me in order to like a movie it's the soundtrack, a bad sountrack can perfectly kill a good movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to just choose one amazing thing that I've seen or done, one thing I can think of right now it's the time I was in Gambia, that trip impressed me a lot and made me realise some things, it had a big impact in me, it's so different that although all the documentaries you may have seen and all the things you might have heard, until you're not there you don't really understand it.
