About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to find and leave a little bit of home on every continent. Please help me succeed! :)

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty outgoing, energetic guy, but I do enjoy some peace and quiet from time to time. I'm naturally very curious and love meeting new people and learning about them and their culture. Also I love food!

PHILOSOPHY

I guess a bit of dualistic one, aking to taoism, in that there's always two ways to look at something, two sides to an argument, two opposing perspectives, not necessarily good vs bad, just different. It's all just about from what angle you're looking. This can leave a person real undecided and in the grey area between black and white. But it's a great way to keep you from getting to heated if someone disagrees with you. And also to realise that's it's not a good idea to be 100% sure of anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to find many couches all over the world. And whoever wants to find mine is welcome to do so!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as of yet.

Interests

I try to be the best man I can be. I like learning about the history of the world and the culture we produced all over it. I keep myself healthy by excercising, playing some b-ball and eating good food. I also dabble in the arts a bit by doing some painting. Like most people nowadays I'm a bit of an internet junky. Just so much to learn, so much to see! :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My parents really taught me the joy of travelling. I've been very lucky that they already took me to many places when I was young. I was around 12 when I saw the amazing grandeur of the Grand Canyons in the US. On a cruise trip in the gulf of mexico I stood on an ancient Aztec temple in Mexico. These were very special trips to me and I really love my parents for them. More usually we went hiking in the French, Italian or Swisse Alpes (at one time we were at the crossing of these 3 countries in the mountains) or the Spanish Pyrenees. Me and my 2 brothers were running and jumping along the mountains trails like little mountain goats. My mother even used to carry my younest brother on her back when he couldn't walk yet. So great!

Two years ago, a little short on cash, I decided to try a hitchhiking trip to Venice. I never knew I had the courage to do that, but apparently I did! :) I had such a great time and it was so awesome to meet such friendly people who were willing to drive us a little further. After a couple of days we finally made it and there's just such a rewarding feeling about that. You made it thanks to the kindness of strangers.

Searching for that familiar feeling, the next step is to try this couchsurfing thing and it really sounds like crazy awesome fun!! :)
