I live near downtown Salt Lake, a 30-minute walk from the bars. Literally the meme of “Californian moves to relatively cheap red state and buys house.”

Interests

Writing and the occasional video game. Cooking is therapeutic for me. Been into finance/investing for 5 years and follow (though have never fully integrated into) the FIRE movement.

Books first since library and bookstore outings are my thing — I am a sucker for nonfiction but am often in the mood for short stories too.

Music taste is best described as tasteful hard rock and intermixed college party background songs with a few remnants of middle school angst.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made the New York and Los Angeles Times in 2019 for different reasons (good ones, mind you). Nearly made it on CNBC that year for a third different reason too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An extremely specific sense of humor and the ability to cook damn near any party food (last example - chicken quesadillas). Also extremely low-maintenance.
