WHO AM I / QUIEN SOY

I've spent most of life counting the hours until the next trip, so I decided to make the road my home. My workplace is anywhere with an internet connection :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING / CÓMO PARTICIPO

Unfortunately, at the moment I'm not able to provide a room for guests (I'm away from Rio for six months now). From traveling I learnt that the best way to know a place is by meeting locals, and couchsurfing provides the best opportunity to do so.

Infelizmente, no puedo ofrecer sitio para quedar pues estoy en la carretera hace seis meses. Por cuenta de mis viajes, he aprendido que la mejor manera que de conocer un local es conociendo personas locales, y couchsurfing és la mejor oportunidad por hacerlo.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE / EXPERIENCIA EN COUCHSURFING

Though I joined couchsurfing six years ago, I'm pretty much a newbie here! I've met some great couchsurfers who stayed with friends in Rio (that's why I decided to give it a try!)

Interests

I love music, cinema, knowing people, getting to know a new place, reading, writing. I also love cooking (and washing the dishes right after eating – it's actually something boring, but I hate dirty dishes so much!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie Rock mostly. I love cinema so much that I decided to learn screenwriting. My favorite film makers are Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Woody Allen, Pedro Almodóvar. And book have been my life for the last 10 years (I've worked in publishing houses and now I work mostly as a translator).

Me encanta especialmente el indie rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Take part in Rio's Carnaval as a musician (I play the trombone). The street carnaval in Rio ia amazing, but it's a completely different experience if you are playing the music the other people are dancing to. Road trips through France and Mallorca. Visiting Japan and several of its temples.

Participar del carnaval de Rio como músico (yo toco el trombón). El carnaval callejero de Rio es increíble, y es todavía más impresionante si participar tocando la música de la fiesta. Mis viajes en auto por Francia y Mallorca. Haver visitado el Japón y muchos de sus templos.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've worked for many years in offices – and I can say it was a frustrating life. I made my life simpler to be able to live on the road. I believe everyone has a lesson to teach, I'm mostly someone who loves listening to the other.
