About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live butterfly in a cocoon world...

ABOUT ME

An aprentice of the mistery of being. A bit introspective many times, but an open-hearted person, who really values friendship and believes in the art of celebration. A lover of nature and it's beautyfull dance. I see life as a spiritual journey, but with no atachments to religions or traditions... Just folow my intuitions and insights, looking for meaning, doing my best in loving and sharing, sometimes falling, other times flying. And I have a beautyfull dream: to wake up!

PHILOSOPHY

Well, not an easy question... But essencially I believe in living in a simple way, in harmony with others beings and the forces of nature (as much as possible), learning a bit every day, reaping what we sow and creating the dream we want to dream - untill we wake up, but have you heard about lucid dreaming? :)

More? Well, let's take a walk and talk a bit...

Oh, and considering this is a website for travellers: the most important travel is inwards! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting people more than being hosted, untill now... I enjoy guiding new friends trough this crazy and beautyfull city that is Rio de Janeiro (often it makes me feel it's my first time also).

Interests

Very interested in science, arts, natural sports and spirituality. Usually spend most of my time reading good books, writing, listening and making music, meditating... But no, i'm not an hermit! Actually, the most beautyfull experiences i have are talking and celebrating with friends, travelling, being in nature, singing and playing in groups, and more recently dancing a lot.

I work as a researcher and teacher of meditation and artistic creation, as well as an independent writer, creating and selling poetry books in the streets and cultural centers.

Some key words: psychology, poetry, organic music, contact-improvisation dance, yoga, meditation, ayahuasca and other psychedelics (but not often), permaculture and ecovillages...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Star Wars! And so many other ones, from pop-corn movies to the cult ones, but specially those that makes me think.

Music: birds singing, the rivers and the wind, children laughing, classic music, celtic music, gipsy (yeeehaaa!), rock'n roll, blues, jazz, some reggae, choro and old sambas... I also love free improvisation, that's when the magic happens.

Books: philosophy, psychology and other human sciences, sacred books from different traditions, good novels, poetry... Well, I really like books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in some Rainbow Gatherings were perhaps the most amazing experiences till now. Celebrating life for two or three weeks in beatyfull natural places with hundreds of people from all continents, talking diferent languages, working together, playing and singing, dancing, learning all the time... Really lovely.

Visiting and working as a volunteer in some ecovillages was very interesting, too. Learning and practicing permaculture, sharing, celebrating...

And the meditation retreats i've been (vipassana, for example) were also very beautyfull, in a diferent way. Ten days of silence in a center in the mountains, surrounded by the forest, meditating eleven hours a day... Nice!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make an origami flower. And maybe something else (like portuguese, meditation, some yoga techniques, how to play guitar and flutes, a bit of the contact-improvisation dance, some of the basics of permaculture, or how to prepare easy but good vegetarian food).

And you can teach me everything you want. I'm listening!
