About Me
Hey y'all!
I'm a software engineer. I come from Brazil and I currently work and live in Munich.
I'm in Germany since Nov/19 but I also lived here during the whole year of 2018 to "see if I'd like to stay here longer" - and, as you can see, I did.
I'm always up for BBQ or drinking mate tea at a park. I enjoy walking around the city with no plan in mind, trying to discover a nice spot for coffee.
Having a glass of wine at my balcony at sunset while listening to lofi hip-hop is one of my favorite ways to enjoy Fridays after work, but don't be mistaken by this chill vibe: I also enjoy going to bars and parties, specially if it serves different types of beer and the people are friendly.
I spend my free time mostly playing guitar, playing games, meeting with friends or simply walking around the park. Oh, and watching videos on very random yet specific topics like "why aren't there many country flags with the purple color in it".
I learned to play guitar by myself when I was around 15 years old. I like to learn to do things on my own.
For some time, I was a volunteer for an animal health non-governamental organization in my hometown, visiting it every Saturday to help with cleaning, feeding and playing with the dogs and cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet people and share experiences with them.
I made some good friends using Couchsurfing and I plan to continue increasing the network. There are things that no books can teach you - you can only truly understand different cultures if you get to experience it and listen to real people.
It can be that your favorite dish can only be found in a specific village of a specific country, but you haven't yet discovered it because you didn't get to know the world and the people in it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm mostly into indie rock and rock in general, but count me in for any concert or festivals of different genres. My last Spotify Wrapped told me I discovered around 1200 new bands and listened for more than 80.000 minutes of different songs. So, yeah, I do like music.
Regarding films, I usually tend to go for action and sci-fi ones. I like both the ones that have no deep meanings and only serve as entertainment as well as the ones that end giving you a question to think about the next days. I can list some of my favorite movies and series to sum up a bit of my taste: most of Marvel films, "(500) Days of Summer", "La La Land" and the "Harry Potter" series. On TV series, I can say "Game of Thrones",, "Breaking Bad", "Peaky Blinders", "Daredevil" and "Black Mirror".
I'm not an avid book reader but I can say that the answer is 42. I mostly read comics or listen to podcasts/watch videos explaining topics that interest me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved from Brazil to Germany at 22 for work all alone, without knowing anyone around here. It was a big change in my life and I'm proud I found my way here.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my experience as a foreigner that moved to Germany for work. If you're interested in this, I can give you some insights and tips on how to achieve it.
I can teach you how to make caipirinha and I'd love to learn something from your culture.
We can share some mate tea at the park and have some quality time.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a nice couch you can stay if you're planning to visit Munich. I can also show you around or give you recommendations on what to do. I work from home, so you can ask me for assistance anytime.
