About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Gain as much knowledge, visti as many places an make as many friends as possible!

ABOUT ME

Hello there!

My name is Bruno Dalmarco and I'm Brazilian and live in Florianópolis. I work as a industrial manager in a technology company here in Floripa. I love travelling, discovering new cultures e meeting new people.

Unfortunatly I haven't been able to travel much in the last years, so I believe that getting close to the couch suring comunity will help me get a bit of taste of travelling without leaving Florianopolis.

Little about me:

I'm an easy going person, I aways try to be as polite and respectful as possible. I believe this is the best way to avoid any problems and if there are any, to solve them.

I enjoy talking and debating a lot, some times too much. As I said before I want to make as many friends as possible so I'd love to go to bars and to meet new people, perhaps friends of my host.

PHILOSOPHY

I aways try to be as calm and relaxed as possible, and to respect everyone around me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I said before, I'm looking to make new friends so I will participate as much as possible!

One thing I'd love to do is to cook a meal for my host. I'm really passionate about cooking, and I got a say, I doit pretty well... So get ready to try some Brazilian food, and to teach me about your local cosine!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have much couchsurfing experience, actually I don't have note at this website.

But I aways travel to visit friends in Brazil and have friends staying over my house!

I hope to soon have many experiences to share here. As soon as I have it, I'll update my profile.

Interests

I have many interests, so I will make a list by topics:

-Culture: As Europe have so much history, I want to learn as much about it as possible. So I plan to go to many different museums, old churches, historic buildings and things like that. I understand that usually locals don't like to go to this kind of places, therefore I have no problem in going by my self, and meeting my host later.

-Nature: I really like nature, so I'd love if my host wants take me to see something different, like a lake, a mountain, caves, or other things like that. I woundn't mind if some sort of walk or trekking is required to reach the place, but please nothing longer than 2 or 3 hours each way.

-Food: I really, really love to cook and try different flavors. I believe that this is one of my biggest passions. So I would love to cook something for my host, some Brazilian food perhaps, I would also love if my host could cook a traditional meal for me, or if he could take me to some restaurant that he know!

-Pubs and Bars: I really enjoy this kind o program, a nice pub or bar, with a good band playing, while talking with a group of friends and having a couple of cold ones, just nothing like it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like good and tradicional movies, usually with a bit of action, or a good "non romance based drama". For me forest gump is the best movie ever made. I believe that there are two kind of good movies, the really good ones like the god father, dallas buyer clubs and forrest gump, and the fun ones, like most super hero movies or some comedies.

Music: I like old music! Specially old rock like the Beatles and Doobie Brothers. I also like blues and jaz a lot. But I'm preally relaxing about music, there are few musics that have a problem with.

Books. I don't really read much... I know I should! But I usually don't have time because of all my classes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done was my high school exchange program , when I lived in the US for a year. That's why I'm so excited about my year in the Netherlands/Europe. It will probably be even better!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach some portuguese, and some Brazilian cooking. And I'd love to learn some of a local cosine, and want to learn german and spanish!
