About Me

I'm a 33 years old journalist. I've been working with civil construction publications since 2002 what makes me a little engineer too.
I have a (almost) 9 years old daughter that is the most incredible thing that happened to my life.
As a beer sommelier, one of my hobbies (and maybe future work) is to drink and talk about good beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like to make new friends. I believe that a good trip is half made of people you know. And, more than this, experiencing cities just like the people that lives there. In a hotel or even in a hostel is harder to put the tourist label aside. I prefer to know places through persons. That's - associated with the possibility of spend less money - why I'm on couchsurfing.

Interests

- I like people and his personal histories of life. That's the mainly reason why I became journalist
- I really like civil engineering
- I like old cars and I'm always trying to fix my 1996's Volkswagen.
- Beer is one of my passions. I'm beer sommelier and like to know new flavors and aromas

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to many kinds of music, but what I prefer is the good and old rock and roll, specially trash metal. Metallica is my favorite band and, because of it's lyrics, "Wherever I may roam" my favorite music. I think it says a lot about human learning condition throughout his life.
For the same reason, my prefered book is "Hundred years of solitude", of the colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Márquez.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I'm a good listener. In conversations I usually listen much more than talk. I like to listen people's histories and learn about new things.
When as a host I can share all my 33 years of experience living in Sao Paulo. Although I have a car, I use a lot of public transportation. So, I can help my guests locomotion.
I also know a lot of good places to know in Sao Paulo, like pubs, museums, parks...
