About Me

Oh hello, nice to see you.

I recently ran away from all my responsibilities, left my job and moved town. Looking to spend a bit of time taking it easy travelling about a bit. I went out not long ago to capture some footage and take some photos at an old abandoned mental asylum outside Glasgow. Classic location.

I'm big into vegan cooking, and can spend a good amount of time each week scouring Youtube for new and exciting recipes. I'm getting alright at it. Honest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm travelling, particularly if I'm by myself, I'd like to be able to spend time with other people, whether they're residents of the towns and cities I'm staying in or fellow travelers who also have a desire to meet others from around the world. It's not quite enough to get to know the country you're travelling through, I also want to get to know it's people. Besides, who better to show you around an area than the people who live there?

Expensive tour guides, I guess.

Music, Movies, and Books

For a while now I've been listening to a huge amount of Tub Ring and hip hop-rock artists That Handsome Devil and the rock opera outfit The Protomen. I really like the geek-rock band The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets as well, and pretty much every variety of chiptune music too. Show me your Spotify playlists.

I don't make the time to read as much as I'd like to, but I do love the works of Lovecraft and Orwell. I've also enjoyed reading a bit of Kafka. I recently finished listening to an audio book of Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness at night as I fell asleep. I was hoping to be haunted by extravagant nightmares, but I'm rarely able to recall my dreams. Seems unfair.

As for movies, I've pretty much fallen in love with nearly every Studio Ghibli film I've yet seen. I also recently saw a super low budget film called Coherence. It might be the best film I've ever seen, I really don't know, I couldn't get it out my head. I don't know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm rather prone to getting lost. Sometimes this leads me to pretty interesting things! Sometimes it leads me to bins. Either way, I can tell you all about it.
