Hey! I'm Bryan. I just completed my Peace Corps service as a teacher in the northern region of Namibia. I've spent the past two years submerged in the Oshiwambo culture. While living in Namibia, I fell captive to it's diverse landscapes and people. There's just something about watching the night sky accompanied by the stillness of the village.
Before Peace Corps, I had never travels outside of the United States; but, since I've been a volunteer, I've traveled to Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, and Botswana - not to mention all the places all over Namibia. It's been a busy two years.
I am constantly dreaming about countries and places I want to explore; from central Asia, northern Africa, South America, and all the islands in between. The world is such a wondrous place filled with billions of wonderful people, and I want to explore all there is while I can.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I have learned that the best way to have one of a kind, authentic experiences and to learn about a culture, is to meet and interact with the people of that culture.
I, personally, love meeting new people, getting to know them and sharing experiences with them.
In my opinion there is no better way to use couchsurfing than to do exactly that.

I'm looking for quality volunteering opportunities that don't exploit the communities they claim to be supporting.
