Overview
About Me
I love adventures. Whether it be exploring abandoned mines or traveling across the globe to experience different cultures. All of it excites me.
I am also very family oriented. My friends and family are my most valued treasures. I spend most of my spare time with them, and I do what I can to involve them with whatever I'm doing in my life.
As for education, I attended the University of Utah and studied Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with an emphasis in Outdoor Recreation; however, along the way I decided that it wasn't for me. I loved what I was studying, but I felt there were other things I wanted to do. Currently, I am saving up to go to carpentry/construction school next year in Oregon. The goal is to one day be able to build my own home for my family.
In short, I'm a small town kid with a big city mentality. I love adventures, friends and family are key, and ask me anything about outdoor recreation. I just so happen to know a lot about that. But really I am an open book. Feel free to ask me any question you may. I love to talk.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A few of my friends have told me their experiences using this app, and I was blown away by their experiences. I had to try it for myself. I am hoping to meet people from different backgrounds so I can see their perspective. Additionally, I want to make friends with people from all over the world. I come from a town of 2500 people, so I don't get a whole lot of diversity 😉
Interests
I think it would be easier to write down what DOESN'T interest me. I've done a lot and seen even more. I like golfing, skateboarding, gardening, traveling, and I could list more, but I rather not bore you with a huge list. Just ask. I consider myself a jack of all trades.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really like listening to Tyler, the Creator, Nujabes, STRFKR, and a variety of other bands/artists. Those are just some of my favorite artists at the moment. My favorite movie is Kill Bill Vol. 1.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok, picture this. It was a bright sunny July morning. No later than 10 a.m. I step outside my house and hear a hawk screech. I look up and see 2 hawks fighting about 150 ft. above me. The birds clashed, until finally both of the birds began to plummet to the ground. As they were falling, the hawks continued battling. Pretty soon the birds were heading toward a direct impact with the ground, except at the last second, no higher than 2 ft. above desert floor, the hawks split up and flew in opposite directions. Each hawk as they flew away screeched. I don't know how I got lucky enough to witness that, but it was epic.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I've mentioned I like learning languages. English is my first language, Spanish being my second, I studied Italian in college, and I recently picked up Japanese. I am not the best at speaking but I find pleasure in trying to learn.
