About Me

I'm currently a student at Cal Poly with a major in Forestry and a concentration in botany. Now do i actually want to pursue a career in that? Very unsure right now and honestly have no idea what I really want to do right now but something i really hope I can do for a couple years is live the true, 70's of Yosemite dirtbag lifestyle. One day, I hope to live in a van and travel through South America and exploring the best climbing and highlining spots. I have a lot of big hopes, but my philosophy is that if you ever want to do something, you just got to go out and do it. There should never be anything stoping you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on this website because I feel this is the best way to meet new people and get to know the city. You get a much more different view from locals rather than tourist companies. To me, its just a way better way to travel and I love the tradition of leaving a gift for the host.

Interests

My passion is Slacklining and am also quickly becoming a decent climber too. But slackening has always come first. I'm currently working on a 330 foot line and am always looking for new highlines. If I'm visiting with someone, I'll probably have a line with me and am always happy to teach!

Music, Movies, and Books

One movie I jive a lot with is "It's such a beautiful day". Highly recommend.
As far as music.... I feel like I could go infinitely long with a list, but I'll just try to name a few. Father John Misty, Blood Orange, Edith Piaf, Radiohead, Wilco, Hot Sugar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the coolest Highlines I have ever rigged was in Big Sur on the California Coast. The line was 80 feet high and 200 feet long spanning over jagged rocks and an unforgiving, loud ocean with a beautiful bridge right behind me. The line was a beast and was more proud that I was able to rig it.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I would want from a host is to be shown the secret gem of their city. I know every city has one, and may differ between the locals but tell me what you think it is!

Tuesday Nights: SLO-OP Climbing Gym 1/2 Both Off When you Bring a Friend Wednesday Nights: 6pm Free Dinner at the Front Porch

Thursday Nights: 6pm-9pm Farmers' Market Downtown SLO!

Friday Nights: 4pm-9pm Farmers' Market Avila Beach!

First Thursday of the Month: 9:30pm Bike Night Downtown

First Friday of the Month: Art After Dark Downtown (Free Wine, Food, and Open Art Galleries)

Drive-In Movie Theater: Two Movies every Night

First Wednesday of the Month: 7pm-10pm Multicultural Center Open Mic Night

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I stated, I love teaching people how to slack! Anybody is cable of doing it, you just got to give it a go.
