Hello! I grew up in southwest Virginia with the beauty of the Appalachian mountains in my backyard. Throughout my adulthood there I worked as a cook in many different restaurants as well as an electrician for a commercial company. In 2013 it was time to leave though, so i packed up the ol' nap sack and thru hiked the Appalachian trail. Eventually i found myself as an Americorp member and then as a crew leader supervising Americorps members in how to construct and maintain all sorts of trails throughout the southwest. This job was very rewarding as I essentially hopped from national forest to national park every few weeks for three years. Best of all though were the walks of life i met and learned from. Ive left crew leading and now work directly with the park service, most recently Ive been working for Glacier Bay National Park Service in SE Alaska performing trail and road maintenance. I am a lover of travel, music and my immediate surroundings.

Interests

More than anything i enjoy playing music with others. I play mandolin, guitar and could manage my way around the trumpet but its been a hot minute!
