About Me

uh...can you narrow it down...?

OK, afterthought--I know what else I can tell you--I have a 22-year-old daughter, but she is all grown up now and living in an apartment.

Carry on...
:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been thinking lately about traveling solo a little, and I thought this might be a way I could do it less expensively. Plus it would be nice to have a friendly face where I go.

And I think it might be a good change of pace to have someone come visit me now and then--break up my routine and maybe influence me to get out and appreciate where I live more!

Interests

I'm pretty into making music--I record a lot and play out a little. (I'm not big on going out and seeing live music though--I just love to play it!)

Also I like nature, and I'm into meditation, a little bit of yoga, and eastern-ish philosophy/buddhism.

I love hiking on hills--which of course I don't get to do in Florida.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music--I tend to listen to genres I'm playing in--I play sometimes for yoga classes, so I listen to a lot of yoga-ish music lately (on a Maneesh de Moor kick lately). I also play in a church, and I listen to some of that music--I think Gungor is awesome. I like movie music--Thomas Newman and Mark Isham are a couple of my favorites. And there's a lot of rock and pop music I like, but I don't listen to it as much lately. OK, movies--I really like movies, but I don't see very many of them. I liked Interstellar, even though Matthew McConaughy gets on my nerves. Books--I'm reading Pema Chodron right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would never tell someone I did something amazing. Like, amazing to who? Me? It's hard to amaze myself. I mean, I already know myself. And I don't know what's going to be amazing to other people. I move that this question be thrown out!

I am proud of some of the music I've made though. Some people have called it amazing. At other times, people have asked me to turn it down. That is not amazing. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

You probably get the idea--I could probably show you some music stuff--guitar, or music tech things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Once again--music...Plus I can be funny sometimes. I'm very curious--I can share that. I am pretty open minded. Except when I'm not. But at least I know when I'm not! Deep thoughts--I have deep thoughts sometimes. Oh, you will totally like that--trust me!

Countries I’ve Visited
