About Me
CURRENT MISSION
the way is made by walking it
ABOUT ME
Avid gardener, enthusiastic cook, huge admirer of Walt Whitman, possible orientalist, shitty saxophonist, proud Marylander, tree-hugger, tea snob, Sinophile, dog lover, dog owner, and a great appreciator of the perfect tree on a balmy day.
PHILOSOPHY
I wish I could say it as well as Kerouac, but I'll just defer to him - "All you do is head straight for the grave, a face just covers a skull a while. Stretch that skull cover and smile."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Making sure my home is always overflowing with a rotating cast of people I love, from CS or otherwise.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I guess this could use some editing. I've hosted about 30-40 surfers in Beijing and surfed in Morocco, Barcelona, and Paris. Experiences have been for the most part awesome and have become a big part of my life. The best experiences were definitely taking guests off the beaten path to go camping on the "wild" sections of Great Wall. It was perfect for me to get out of the urban humdrum and a great way to show people a China that lives under the surface.
